www.blackpoolminirun.co.uk/Anyone going on this? I've been on it the last two years but I was living in Liverpool at the time and the starting point was literally 2mins from my girlfriends old flat. Been umming and ahhing over going this year as you need to be in Liverpool at 8.30am. It's an alright run though, leave Liverpool around 9, meet up with the main run in Preston and then set off to Blackpool where Totally Transport is with loads of old buses, trams, tractors and several other classic car clubs

We've done it a few years just the last leg meeting at preston. I agree martin its a good event and i reckon me and marie will be up for doin it. Never know maybe able to go in mine, woop woop
What you all reckon guys its a nice local event and some donuts at the finish!!!
Only 94 out of 150 registered so far so if we register NOW we will get a plaque ;D

cool martin we will meet u at preston then. I second the cool roads we camped up there last year and had some fun in my car with the new engine

I only just realised preston is the same distance from me as liverpool so I might as well go straight to preston and have an extra hour in bed

really good day today. Got up nice and early so we could have breakfast. So we set of to the petrol station, pulled in and a nice shower of steam was being emitted from the bonnet-the top hose had split. so we drove back home to get my work keys then off to the unit. 10mins later found a peice of hose and we were on our way to preston.
Pulled up at the Odean cinema and there must have been 150 minis, when we were ready to leave there was well over 200 minis. We met with martin and martin who had been there since 10. After a lovely drive through lythem we pulled up on the front at blackpool which had kindly been closed off for the transport event. Plenty of old buses and some great classics from ford. Great dodge charger and a mahoosive scammel recovery truck.
After a wander about we had lunch at Pizza Hut. We then went for a walk and marie left her sunglasses on the table at Pizza Hut so we walked back and they were still there. Went for a long walk to get to the beach where martin went n dipped his feet in the sea n me n marie got a wet bum from sitting on the sand.
We then headed home as most of the minis had gone, on the way to the M55 the red arrows flew over, shame we missed watching them on the front. Some giggles on the way home passing salutes between us and martin.
Will get my pics to jackman some how so he can get them on the main website
Such a good local event in aid of a good cause we all definatly need to be there next year.
