I have issues lol. Went to the petrol station, turned the car off, went to turn back on and no noise from the fuel pump. It has been making a ticking sound since i bought the car and have been advised that its most likely knackered. Its a 1989 with a 1293 in it, and has an in line electronic fuel pump on the subframe. Ihave looked at a possible replacement but need some advice please!!! cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400178873412&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:enWould this be suitable? Any help grately appreciated

Inline "facet" fuel pumps do click all the time. U need to check you have a supply to the pump, it SHOULD have a fuse in the wire to the pump and this could have blown. If it has blown it could mean the pump is knackered but this is where i would start looking.
the ebay item is the correct thing if u do need a new 1 but i would do a few simple checks with a test light first
Hope this helps

its a little gold facet pump. well the good news is that i checked the supply and it hasnt got one! after thinking back to when i bought the car i checked the the ignition barrel and a wire has come of the back of it. its temporarily soldered in place but its nackered so i need to source a new one, but both minisport and minispares cant get them till mid jan. if anyone has one that i may purchase from them i will come and collect. thanks for all the help guys
