Oooh - sounds like there's quite a lot on - means minis wont get a massive amout of time, but will be a good day out if the weather's nice - Noah's face is a corker when a jet car goes past !!! Mind you, he might cope a bit better this yer !!! (Him and caitlin both have proper kids ear defenders by the way - he loved the jet car at MITP last year until a split second after it went past and the sort of "wall of noise" hit us !!!!

Not sure if anyone else is going, but we will be - weather is supposed to be ok, and could do with a day out! Aiming to get there for about 11ish - hopefully earlier, but thats down to Caitlin and Noah being cooperative !!!! Noah's spent an hour watching youtube videos of jet cars tonight and seems very excited !!!!! Rich

It was ok - not many minis though - when we got there just after 10 (roads were empty so it only took 1 1/2 hours) I think there were 3 minis and about 15 beetles !!! Ended up with more like 10 or so minis in the end, and we lost 6-7 - might have made a draw if we ran Elvis - oops !!! Can you believe York is £30 to race though, and Santa Pod is £20 - I know which is better value for money, regardless of the vast difference in both track and facilities The grandstand is totally rotten now - half the boards are falling off, and even one of the metal bits of the structure broke at the welds when some young lad (14 maybe?) climbed over it.... Jet car was good, if a little short on the display antics Some interesting cars there too - a cosworth powered Talbot Sunbeam which was uber rapid ! A lot of the golfs / polo's were in the 10 / 11 second area
